Systems Engineer

Department: IT
Location: Dearborn, MI

Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Systems Engineer to join our innovative team! In this pivotal role, you can shape and enhance our technology landscape by working with critical systems, including On-Prem AD, Entra AD, IIS, SharePoint, NAS, SAN, VMware, Azure DevOps, and Hyper-V. You will lead exciting new implementations and collaborate with various teams as a trusted subject matter expert, ensuring successful deployments and continuous improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain critical infrastructure components, including servers, storage solutions, and virtualization technologies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on critical systems, providing guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Create and manage documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Establish monitoring and alerting systems to ensure optimal IT infrastructure performance.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Assist with compliance, client audits, and SOC, HIPPA, and Hi-Trust certifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or at least 10 years of experience in Systems Engineering or IT infrastructure.
  • Strong expertise/knowledge in Server Operating Systems (Server 2016 +, Linux), Azure Cloud, Azure AVD, VMware, Hyper-V, NAS, SAN, and Office 365/Azure AD administration.
  • Extensive experience in large-scale systems administration, configuration management, troubleshooting, and designing.
  • Proficient in debugging software, hardware, and network issues.
  • Experience with cloud and on-premises system design and deployment.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
