Overview:
Jackson Dawson is seeking an experienced driver with a Class A CDL license to drive an F350 pulling a 40’ gooseneck lowboy flatbed trailer carrying a structure. The cargo supports a national consumer experience tour.
Dates Needed:
- April 20th to May 1st
- May 11th to May 14th
- May 18th to May 22nd
- June 9th to June 13th
- June 29th to July 3rd
- October 6th to October 18th
- November 12th to November 21st
- November 29th to December 4th
- January 1st to January 11th
- Dates are subject to minor changes/additional dates will be added
Rate: $25/hr. as a temporary W2 employee
Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-trip inspections, check unit to identify and repair minor faults, and report major mechanical breakdowns to a skilled mechanic.
- Maintain all vehicle trip, fuel, and IFTA logs as DOT requires.
- Maintain a logbook to record miles covered and hours traveled and ensure all necessary documentation with freight is filled in and submitted.
- Report any delays that may affect the timely delivery of the truck and trailer to the Executive Producer.
- Report any accident incurred while transporting the freight to the Executive Producer immediately.
- Adheres to all standards, policies, and procedures.
- The position may include other duties as determined by the company.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a Class A license, maintain DOT requirements of license, and maintain a clean driving record.
- 10+ years of experience as a Class A driver
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues.
- Expansive knowledge of road signs and safety procedures is expected of the driver.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit for extensive periods of time when driving.
