Overview
Jackson Dawson is currently seeking an Automotive In-Dealership Product Trainer who will be responsible for delivering EV model product training and EV industry and marketplace information to luxury retailer teams (sales and service). The training includes in-depth product information as well as marketplace challenges and opportunities, and competitive comparisons.

Duration: June – August 2024
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth product and technology training
- Incorporate hospitality-focused strategies into training
- Provide product information and competitive comparison expertise
- Maintain positive relationships with assigned dealerships and assess their needs for future in-retailer training
- Perform administrative duties including retailer visit status reporting and post-visit summary reporting, expense reporting and opportunities for future training needed at their retailer
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Solid understanding of automotive systems and technologies (how they operate, benefits/drawbacks of different designs, etc.)
- Knowledge of the automotive industry, both from an overall perspective (manufacturers, models, market segments, etc.) as well as retail dealership operations – previous dealership experience helpful
- An understanding of the EV ownership experience preferred
- Previous luxury automotive experience desired
- Computer proficiency (internet/email usage, file management, word processing, etc.) and comfort using presentation technologies including PowerPoint and audio-visual set-up
- Talent for public speaking with an ability to command the attention of groups (20 – 30 people) in a way that increases interaction and keeps them engaged
- Ability to engage dealership personnel at all levels (including management) and respond to questions/concerns in a positive manner
- Presenting to and managing groups in potentially disruptive/distracting environments
- Excellent organizational and time management skills including responsiveness to emails and phone calls
- Passion for the Automotive Industry
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Ability to safely park company vehicle, (may not be driven for personal use)
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
- The person in this role will frequently move in and around the dealership facility
- This is a significant travel position via airline and driving vehicle up to 75% of the time, the tour can last for up to 12 weeks with some weekend travel required
